I am new at quilting I have made 2 or 3 but have just started and designed as I went and they all turn out kinda half hazardly I am trying to make one this time by designing it before I start and being extremly careful when cutting the pieces. It an easy one I want 7 blocks across and 7 blocks down with 2 inch shasing in between and on the border. I bought this soft ware to help me with the measuring as the quilt I made for my husband he calls the Wilt Chamberlin quilt as it is much longer than it is wide   . Has anyone used this softweare and do you think it is worth the money. It was 30$ at Joann's and I had a 40% off coupon so it is not real expensive. Any input will be apprenciated I really want this one to turn out nice as I want to give it to my Bible Study teacher for Christmas.

I have this software. I use it quite a bit to plan out quilts deciding if I want sashing or not, different block combination's, and colors etc. It is user friendly and if you go to their website you can download more blocks and fabric. Obviously it is not like the EG5 or 6 that some of the others has but for the price it is a good place to start.

Quilt Wizard is the beginner version of EQ. It has the very basics. I think you'll like it. It is worth using your coupon for.
