I am a new quilter and have finished a couple of quilts with free motion quilting on my regular machine. I'm getting better with practice and am thinking about purchasing a quilt frame. Originally I was just thinking of a frame that would use my current sewing machine but the store suggested a professional machine due to stitches per minute. Any suggestions on which products work well, easy to use and reasonable in price? I don't want to buy something now without doing proper research only to learn in a couple months that I should have gone with something else. Are there any secondary markets for quilting frames and machines? Thanks for your help!!!

There are a few Options which range from under $100 to upward of $30,000. flynnquilt.com to the APQS.com have listings and information on quilting machines and frames. The Flynn quilt frame can also be used for hand quilting, which may or may not be an option for you, and it also works with your current machine. There are a few threads on here already about machines to check on and other quilters who use machines and are able to give you first hand advice. Research and know what your skill level and possible usage will be to help in determining what is best for you and that will allow for your advancement in skill.
