I live in the northwest of Illinois and my friends and I are trying to find a quilt retreat for fall. Is there a way for me to search for one within a few hours drive?

don't know the answer to your question but maybe someone else does :)

Welcome and Hafa Adai from Guam.

If you Google Search....quilt retreats in "xyz" city....you might come up with what you are looking for.

you could also contact your LQS typically they sponsor the quilt retreats and might know of some.

all of our LQS do a retreat and we even have a bed and breakfast that does all classes all the time - every week or 2 its a new class schedule.

if you're ever in NYS its a great place to stay and learn

Ehhhh Hemmmmm!!!!! I know you are new so I will forgive you THIS TIME!!!. You are not allowed to say you went to a sale and found some great deals without posting pictures for us all to drool over.

Anybody ever organized a quilt retreat? I've got a friend that has retreat facilities and she wants me to organize a retreat for sometime this fall for some of both our friends.

xapisgrace 07-13-2009 12:42 PM

MoMoSews -- good job on finding the good deals... I hit Joanns this weekend (1/2 off on all clearance fabric prices)... spent way more than I should have but at 1/2 off 1/2 off, I couldn't pass it up.

Sorry kwhite but no pics at this time. I actually put the fabric in the wash (which I've never done before), so it's still in the washer and dryer.

Don't know how long a drive it is from Illinois but there is a good one in Hillman, Michigan. Website is www.thunderbaygolf.com
