Quilt saw in movie
I watched a movie called 20 Years After and in it was a quilt that had blocks of a kitten in a basket appliqued. It was so cute! Wondered if anyone knew what this pattern was called

those are adorable. it looks fairly easy to draw out yourself. i notice that the ones for sales are a bit off center. they would look better with the applique to the left so the margins are more balanced.

Yes I agree. The quilt I saw in the movie had the applique reversed and that was how I had planned it. Also with a more rounded handle. But since I'm about worthless on drawing i was hoping that someone had a pattern they could send me. Or maybe someone with some talent could draw it and email to me LOL Hey I can wish can't i?? ;-)

It's just called "Kitten Basket" it's a '30s block....I thought I might have a pattern for it in one of my books, but I can't find one.

I hadn't seen that quilt before, but it sure is cute.

I googled it and came up with this ad from Sept 8, 1938. Not much help to you, but it at least dates it.

I saw that article, that was like on the movie!

Hey only 10 cents in coin for the pattern! So much fun reading the newspaper articles and ads. My favorite was the one titled: "How I Got My Engagement Ring!" which explained that Arrid does not rot dresses.
