Quilt shops along I-10 from Tallhassee to Lafayette La
In mid August I will be on a road trip from Florida to Lafayette, LA to take my son to college. I would love to stop at quilt shops along the way or while in Lafayette, LA. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Pace Fl just east of Pensacola has the quilting station. In Pensacola there is Joanns on Davis Hwy. There is also a fantastic store called A & E drugs in Pensacola, not sure of the address, Maybe goggle it. Is a little off I10 but so worth the trip. Huge fantastic selection of fabric, patterns, notions, just a great place. Maybe you could go there on the drive home. Have a great trip!

In Gulfport MS, there's Coastal Sew and Vac that's a little over 2 miles north of I-10 on Highway 49. Hobby Lobby is also along that route. As far as I know that's the only real quilt shop in the area down there. They're open Tuesday through Friday from 9am to 5pm and close at 2pm on Saturday.
There's a couple of good shops here in Hattiesburg, but it's about an hour north out of your way. |
Thanks everyone for the suggestions.

There's a great quilt shop in Lafayette. It's called the Borne Quilter. The shop has great fabrics and patterns, including some unique to Louisiana. Super friendly and helpful staff. Their address is 1507 Kaliste Saloom. Phone number 337-408-3730. Hope you have a safe trip. There are some great restaurants in Lafayette, also. The girls at the shop can tell you all about them.
