Hi all, brand new to this, from Australia.
Travelling to Paris and all of Italy in 5 weeks. Does anybody know of a good quilt shop there??? Seems to be non-existant - but surely not!

Hi....I found this link the other day...it is pretty up to date although there were a two new shops near me that weren't on it.
The opening page shows shops in the UK and Ireland....but if you look to the left hand side there are links for most of Europe....hope this helps

I lived in France for 6 years (not Paris though!) and LQS were few and far between. The ones there were had the same old familiar fabrics, Moda etc but much more expensive than here in the UK and certainly way above US prices. It was around 22-25 euros a metre which is about $34 AUS. There must be some in Paris though, the Cosman link that Ro put up will find them for you. Don't know about Italy but I though we had a couple of Italian members? Perhaps they can help you. :-D

Quilt stores fairly rare in France, a few good ones in Paris, and there are others in the Bouche de Rhone or Mediterranean coastal cities - not much good for a Paris visit!
However here a few links to some in and very close to Paris. And you will need a BIG wallet!

I live in the south west so don't know the stores, but got the details from the website of French Quilting Guild.

Thanks so much for help. It all seems rather expensive!

Thanks. Hoping to find some local fabric, rather than the usual Moda and Kaffe Fassett. Lerouvray looks the best!
