I will be traveling with DH to Nashville TN on thursday for a wedding that's in Franklin. Does anyone know of any great quilt shops I should try and see while there? We have all day Sunday and most of monday to see the area. I am frantically trying to finish a quilt that I am taking with for the wedding gift. I am working on the hand sewing of the binding. I have the label made just have to sew that on too.
Thanks,

This is a website that I use to find quilt shops when I am traveling. All you have to do is put in the name of the town and state and it will come up with a whole list for you. Have a great trip and let us know if you find a great shop and be sure to show us what you buy!! :D

A friend took me to some quilt shops but she said there are none in Nashville proper. There are 3 in outlying areas tho.

I certainly hope you get this in time. Nashville doesn't really have anything, but you have two of the best in Nashville. I'm sure they will be open on Saturday. One is called the Stitcher's Garden (I believe). Fabric is stacked everywhere, in the aisles, and sometimes you must turn sideways to get down the aisles. I am sorry that I don't know the name of the other shop, but Franklin is well known for it's wonderful tribute to quilting fabric. Many people visit these shops from towns hours away. Hope you get to enjoy them. There is also the Quilter's Attic, in Goodlettsville (about an hour away from where you will be)--a small, but great shop.

Let me correct myself--these two shops are in Franklin.

I live in Madison (about an hour away) and I just go to the Joann Fabrics. I'd love to go to these quilt shops around here, but I've not been able to find any. Granted I've not been looking, but still.

I'm sure there's lots of good shops in Franklin as it's a cute little town. Safe travels!

I have been to this shop... there is so much fabric, and she does not put anything on sale, ever, she told me.. however, if there is something that is out of print (books) or fabric that you cant find.. it is very likely she will have it.. just ask her, she has everything on her computer...it is a fun place to visit
