Quilt Show, Hershey PA
It started today and runs through the weekend! I'm going tomorrow. Anyone around PA going to the quilt show? I'm so excited!!! I always feel like I need everything and spend too much money.
I wish I could go. I have a brother in East Fallowfield that would love to put me up, but I just took a week of vacation this month.
Have fun. |
It is one of my favorite shows and yes, I will be there on Sat. I am selling raffle tickets for my Guild in the afternoon and seeing the show earlier in the day!
How I wish I could, my parents were raised in Altoona, and then lived in Middletown....they always talked about Hersey PA....but I never went....will close my eyes and be with you in spirit and help you spend your money.....
I am going tomorrow with 3 friends from my guild. Then on Sat. we are shopping in Lancaster area.

i go to the aqs show in lancaster in march. which is better?
I am going on Sunday with my girlfriend. Whoo hoo! I live in Pottstown, so it's no too far for us.
Great show! There weren't many quilts there but the ones they had were AMAZING! Half the show was civil war quilts. NO PHOTOS ALLOWED. But I did take a few photos of the quilts we were allowed to photograph. I'm off to go take a quick photo of my haul. OF COURSE I spent way too much money but I had such a blast.

A great Quilt Show in Chocolate Land- can it get any better?

Quilt Haul: In this photo 1. FABRIC! snowflake batik and coordinating batik. Lorax fat quarters and panel, Key Lime Bali Pop, Fat Quarter stack in summery colors. 2. Giant Olfa mat and new rotary cutters. 3. "Itty Bowl" magnetic for pins 4. Tiny sweeper for stray threads. 5. Machingers gloves 6. Seam Marker 7. I don't know what it's called, but it's the long silver thing at the bottom. It's an extendable magnet for when I spill all my pins and don't want to find them with my feet/fingers. And finally... my favorite purchase of the day... I know I know you are probably saying "You know you can make that" but that's okay. I fell in love with this little chick! |
I wish I could go...quilts and chocolate...sounds heavenly to me.:o
love the thread catcher!
Thanks! I love it too which is why I just couldn't leave without it. This little chick has already been put to use as I try to learn how to paper piece.
Why have a quilt show if photos are not allowed? I don't understand that. And it's impossible to enforce because many quilt pics from the show are on Facebook already. LOL I love your chicken thread catcher!
That chicken is so cute! I want one of that!
The civil war quilts weren't allowed to be photographed and the George Siciliano quilts weren't allowed to be photographed but the quilt entries were photographed all over. There were still people taking pics of the civil war quilts though. Some were trying to photograph without a flash. I don't know if they were worried that would degrade the quilts or if they were just being possessive.

my friend brenda and i just came back from hershey. what a great time! we also do alot of shopping. we hit: burkholders, martins, 2 goods shops, weavers, sauders, quilters cottage, 2-3 joann's. think that's it. by far the best is martin's. 3.79 for a flat fold. good quality material. and the selection is surpassed by none.
