i've used then for lone star and hawaiian quilts.

I couldn't figure the lonestar one out. looked beyond me. Was it easy? I may get some one day. I love doing DP's and dont' mind sewing those curves, but their pattern/fusible looked easy.

the lone star was so easy.

i used it because i was doing a spiral color wheel lone star and it was just easier to piece it individually then to do staggered strips.

all you do is cut rectangles and sew them to the foundation.

if you can do foundation piecing/paper piecing you'll be able to do it with ease.

I've used the QuiltSmart for the Double wedding ring, their bag, the Fan, and Apple Core. I have the fusible for the cellphone, but haven't made it yet. I absolutely love it for the Double Wedding Ring, though!! Would highly recommend using them.

Cool idea. I have never seen those before. Thanks.

Thanks, but the Quiltsmart makes it so easy. I wouldn't do a double wedding ring any other way. You can make them scrappy, like the tablerunner or use whole pieces of fabric, like the wallhanging. The choice is yours. If you do the scrappy, you can buy a template-which I highly recommend.

I made a wall quilt with Hawaiian blocks. would have loved to have done it easier. although on this i did try to do the fusible and turn right side out. but the points and curves on this piece didn't work well at all. i had to trim off all the fusible and just stitch it down.
nex time i want to do a Hawaiian quilt, i will try the quiltsmart for sure.

Wow, that was nice! I like your choice of colors, too.
