I thought I saw a reference to quilting as you go on a french braid pattern, but even w/search feature, I can't find it again. I'm interested in trying this and would be interested in getting some tips before I start. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! :)

There was a thread here recently about quilting a French braid in sections. That's not quite the same as QAYG but it does mean you can quilt a large quilt more easily in a domestic sewing machine.

This is the thread:
http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-33758-1.htm Quilting in sections wasn't the main topic, but it was mentioned later on. The book Quilting in Sections by Marti Michell is an excellent source of information. It explains a number of ways to quilt in sections and tells you how to decide which method to use based on your quilt's design. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss?ur...ng+in+sections |
