quilted trivet made with ceramic tile??
 

I have some ceramic tiles. My goal is to take orphan blocks, quilt them, then somehow make a removable cover for the tiles! Any thoughts on the removable part?? Thanks

I have a pattern for that. You just sew an overlapping flap (about 1 1/4 "). Measure backing about 1/2' from top, overlap flap about 3/4", sew all around (wrong sides together) and turn thru flap opening. Just like a pillow, just at one end instead in the middle. Wish I could explain that better.

The overlap is on the side. This flap measures 1 1/4 inch, with the other flap overlapping it 3/4 inch???
