Quilter's App - questions for those who already own this app

I am thinking about purchasing this app but I have question(s):

1. Once you designed your quilt, will the app give you
- the fabric requirements
- cutting instruction
- backing & binding requirements
2. Will the app allow you to save quilt & instructions to a pub format?
3. Can you print (via air print) directly from the app?

Basically, I'm look'n for an app that functions like EQ but BETTER!!!!!! and from my iPad lolol

I would love to find a quilting app that worked like EQ for a tablet of any sort. But the good news is there is supposed to be a new Tablet coming out that will run more like a computer/laptop than a phone. You have to be able to run a certain type of windows like program to get EQ to work from what I understand. my hubby was talking about getting me a tablet of some sort to use for quilting so I wouldn't have to keep kicking him off the computer to get to the pattern that I am working on or the block.

This is all very interesting. I asked Santa for an IPad - would be great if it could have a Quilter's App.

There's an app for Droid users called Stitcher's Helper. It's got a bunch of calculators and such. You can even take photos and put those in your projects.

I have it and love it!!! Good luck!

about quilter's app

I posted something a week or two ago about an app I'd seen in a magazine which sounded a lot like EQ but just not as extensive. One version was under $15 and the other under $8. If I can find that post I'll re-post it.

It was easier than I expected to find the post; here's the link to the information:
I came across this link for a really cool app advertised in "American Patchwork & Quilting" (Aug. 2011) for your iPad and iPhone. I do have an iTouch but don't think my aging eyes want to use this on such a small screen. However, it may be soooo much fun for so many of you out there. It looks like the price is just under $15. I only viewed one of the videos but found it amazing to see what it can do! Have fun looking

That's the app I'm inquiring about... I was hoping to get answers to my questions from someone who already owns the app; the website does not address them, so I'm left to assume that it doesn't do those things....

I'll have to check out the app. Thanks for the link, I look for quilting apps for my IPad ocassionally but have not seen this one. BTW, I love my IPad, if you are thinking about getting a tablet check them out. Besides my sewing machines, it is the one thing I have that I use everyday for something.

Robert Kaufman has a free app that has all kinds of measurement aids and calculators such as piece count, binding, border yardage. Google robert kaufman app and you'll find the site.
