I had read something awhile ago... i thought it was on the boards here about quilting blocks separately and then sewing the quilting blocks together, I cant seem to find it anywhere...something that you could do with a smaller/cheaper sewing machine. Does anyone happen to know what I am talking about or where I can find it?

Fun and Done
Quilt as you go (QAYG)

There are other names too. Several different methods. Try googling both of the above and there are excellent tutorial on the net :D:D:D

Awesome!!! I have been working on my quilt sampler got a few more blocks done I will put up some pics tomorrow. It is coming along well! I was just trying to remember where I saw that and what it was called. I think I would like to try that next so I can do it on my small machine (and small quilting table) and see how it turns out! ya'll are so quick!! Thanks!

I did a practice quilt sort of by the fun and done method and it worked pretty well for me. Probably exceptionally well considering I had no clue what I was doing!
