Good Morning Every1,
I just watched a taped episode of Lap Quilting with Georgia Bonesteel. (04/24/2011) She was talking about some "fabric jars" that she made instead of making a quilt with them. She had put a paper milk carton inside to make it more sturdy. Does anyone on here know of a pattern where you make "fabric jars" :?: :?: I have heard something about "bug jars". I don't know if they are the same :?: :?: Any help would be appreciated. Thanks to all. :-D :-D :-D Have a blessed day. :-D :-D :-D   debra   |
Never heard of fabric jars. The bug jars are from a pattern for a quilt that makes jars with bug fabric (or food fabric) and looks like a jar of bugs or food. What you are talking about sounds like a three dimensional container that is quilted.

Nope but I'll be watching this thread for an answer. I'd like know too.

Yes, I saw that episode. They are the same blocks. She just took 4 jar blocks, sewed them into a ring and put an appropriately sized carton inside. If you were going to do this, I would get the carton first, then scale the jar block to the appropriate size. As I recall, she did not sew a bottom on, just slip covered the container.

Interesting!
And then what do you do with it? .... a catch all? or? |

This may not be the right place to ask this but I am looking for some scraps of "bugs" to buy to make my grandsons bug quilts. Can anyone help me out?
