Quilting with Minkee

Hi All!
I'm wondering if anyone has tried using a lite iron-on stabilizer with Minkee as the backing when free motion quilting? I have a problem with it being so "stretchy." Suggestions/comments appreciated!

Cat I think it depends on the quilter. I have had one baby quilt done with minkee and I am almost sure she used a light weight stabilizer with it. I am working on another quilt and asked a different long arm quilter if I needed to get her a stabilizer and she said she doesn't use one with it. Hopefully a few long arm quilters will give you some advice from hands on experience.

I'm not a long arm quilter, I quilt with my Juki or Babylock on a table. I spray baste when I use minkee and have never had a problem. The quilts are so cuddly with the minkee.

I think with Minkee the secret is slow and steady....and don't quilt heavy very lite.....

I have made an entire quilt out of minky on my longarm and used it for backing several times. It really is a lot easier to longarm it than use the dsm in my opinion as you aren't pushing and pulling it so there are less chances to stretch it...
