I just finished an attic windows top with a farm theme. The windows look like barn wood and the quilt will probably be called "From the Hay Loft." I will be giving the quilt to my brother and sister-in-law who have a small farm and all kinds of animals. I'm kind of stumped as to how to quilt it and would appreciate suggestions. I've thought about a diagonal going one direction through the angle in the windows and a meander in the border but I'm sure there is something that would be more interesting. Thanks for any suggestions.

Is there anything in the 'windows' that you could quilt around? Animals, etc.? Just a thought.
Could you post a picture of it?
maybe stitch in the ditch around windows and out line the animals.
Pic would be good...maybe outline the grain of the wood in the frame, then in the ditch around the window and as the others suggested outlining the animals.
stitch in the ditch. Anything else would detract from the quilt.
I usually FM woodgrain on the frame. What to do on the block depends on the fabric, pattern, applique.

Yes, a picture would be nice.

Sorry - I should have posted a picture originally. Thanks for all your suggestions. This is my first attic windows so it's not perfect.
