What is the best way to quilt a photo memory quilt? The one I just made is about 70 x 60, with LOTS of photos, the kind that are "plastic" feeling. I want to have it machine quilted (just not through the faces of people). What do you think?

I use the fabric sheets that go through my color printer for photos. I have quilted 2 quilts with photos and just did meandering without going through the photos. It worked great. The fabric sheets are a little heavier than quilting fabric, but you can sew right through them.

I would just quilt around ( as best you can ) the photos. Maybe do a SID on the whole quilt ?

Quilting through any of the iron ons, will make it disintegrate quicker...
I would choose a batting that allows a much larger quilting area :D:D:D

I quilted this quilt by filling in all the negative areas. I did alot of ditch quilting around the photos but did not go into them.
