Good Morning all you wonderful quilters out there in quilt land. I am getting ready to quilt two sunbonnet sue applique quilts for a friend. The "girls" are from Eleanor Burns and have been appliqued with a black thread blanket stitch. The are 10" x 10" and each has one has a 1 1/2" strip around all four sides.

My initial thought was to echo quilt the girls, but am, as usual, second guessing myself.

Any thoughts? TIA.

Have a blessed day,
Mandy

yep, love echoing. or do radiating straight lines out from them to the corners. like sunshine.

I would certainly echo them. Of course, my skill level limits me, but I think echo looks nice around applique.

Echoing sounds wonderful!
Another suggestion: quilt a small grid on the background around the "girls"...
