Hi...

I love to do string quilts with scraps/strips. I am now working on one with 9" blocks in blues, with a little white and a strip of green here and there done diagonally across the squares. I think I will use black for the sashing to set them off. Fun to do!!

Letovers or Leftovers? Make me smile and remember---

One way to make a scrappy quilt is to take a magazine page and use that for your base. You can lay scraps onto the paper and sew one by one.

When the page is full of sewn on scraps, you can embroider on it!

When you have many pages of sewn scraps, lay them all out to design your quilt top, then sew them together into rows. At this point, the paper will come off very easily - if not you can wash it off.

This method is very old! Be careful to clean your machine often - the paper will be all over!
