Good luck, you will make it. See if your doc will give you the stepped patches...you start at 21mg X "x" number of weeks, then go to the 14's and then to the 7's. That's what I did way back when and it worked fine for me...I was a 1 1/2-2 pack a day (and more if things weren't going well!) and will celebrate my 20th anniversary off cigarettes next month.

My sister was in the hospital and asked the Dr. about Chantix. Little did she know he put her on it. Just one month and she had overcome the desire to smoke. the only time she wants one is when she smells someone elses'

I used Chantix to successfully quit smoking. However my insurance didn't pay for the $100+ a month script, but I only needed it about 3 months and I was done. Good Luck.

A lady in the checkout in front of me bought a pack of cigarettes and it rang up $6.50! I know I gasped out loud. When it was my turn to check out the cashier said some of the no brand cigarettes were cheaper but they were out of those. A pack a day would be $45.50 a week, $2323.00 a year. You can buy a lot of fabric this next year!

My mom sent me a little money for Christmas, and I think that would be the healthiest way to use it.

i would check out the Joann's sales for New Year's Day...they used to have great sales on every big 'football' day, opening in my old location in san diego at 7 am!!! they always had 50% off ALL notions, good batting sales and tons of good fabric prices...i no longer live there and cannot take advantage of them any longer, but i would certainly check it out if i was you....
AND in addition, Fabric.com has a section that is called $1.99....everything in the entire section is the same price...sometimes not so much and sometimes i can hardly control myself...it is always the first place i check...then the same site, check 'Clearance.' it will have some great prices, as well.... next go to Marshall's Dry Goods...they have GREAT sales and WIDE fabric so i buy all my backs from them, and when on sale, i buy the wide stuff to piece with whenever the color is right...one yard is equal to 2 yards of normal width fabric, so a great buy....and then lastly (in my suggestions, not in quality)... Missouri Star and check their 'sale' items. All these sites and of course, others will have great ideas for you.... will have good prices, sometimes including free shipping, etc. I buy frequently from all three of these sites and it's a good idea to check with them when looking for good prices. They always send me an email when they are having a 'free shipping' weekend or other good sales... it only takes a minute to check and see if the current sale is good for me, then i shop if it is, and chuck it if it's not what i need.

Connecting Threads has a lot of nice fabric on clearance for under $3.00 a yard. Also Eleanor Burns site has a sale right now and I think it is 50-60% off. Good luck quitting smoking. I did it 2 1/2 years ago, and don't even have the desire to smoke. It is getting very expensive, and you can use the money you save on fabrics as time goes on you never even think of it.

I quit in 1997 with help of medication...you can do it...so many aids now available...good luck

How about paper pieced hexagons?They are great to keep your hands busy.Good luck with the quitting .I did cold turkey and am really happy to have stopped.You'll notice food has a different taste and perfume goes alot further!
