Everyone seems to be talking about Rag Quilts. Guess What..the idea of sewing one of these, increased my heartbeat, as I've told you before...fast and easy..I am..please, quilting only!!!!
So, any who, I've got all kinds of patterns for these..I would like someones input on this Question. I'm going to use cotton fabric, some of the info I got suggest flannel for the middle layer, do you cut the flannel the same size as top and bottom pieces or slightly smaller? I don't know if I like the flannel sticking out with the rest of the fabric, now this is the cotton flannel they must be talking about?
Give me your input on your own experence with Rag Quilts.

flannel give it that fuzzy look and a little extra body. I believe there is a rag quilt post some where here, hit the search at the top of board and punch in rag quilt. I made one in denim ; very heavy to work with.

I have made 4 rag quilts so far and i've used flannel in the middle of mine and one with warm and natural. With the flannel I cut it the same size and it gives it a fluffly look. I really like that. I used cotton on top then flannel for the middle and bottom. Makes for a warm quilt. The middle flannel i find a color that goes good with the top and bottom.
