I seen the recipe for homemade wipes made of papertowels and a butter tub but I didn't bookmark it.Does anyone know where it was shown.

If I remember from baby days you cut a paper towel roll in half, put it in your empty wipe container and add a couple T.of baby wash and some water. cover and let it set until water is absorbed. Remove the paper towel core and pull towels from center.

I wasn't here for a previous discussion, but below are a few links I found.

By the way, I have a large parrot (a Cockatoo), and I use a recipe of 1 tsp grapefruit seed oil to 1 cup water. It's a great disinfectant and it works like a charm on bird poop, which she does a lot...

Just saw my previous post. I'm not sure what I did wrong with the links, but I think you can figure out how to find the sites.

Sorry.

I just use scraps of flannel and water. Works like a charm. I tried other things, but nothing does a better job than just good old-fashioned water, IMHO.

You have to use cloth-like paper towels - Viva is the best for these. Cheaper ones fall apart. Cut it in half. I use the large size red plastic coffee containers, they're the perfect size.

For baby wipes, I use a scant 2 cups hot water, 2 T baby oil, 1 T very mild soap (I use a castile soap) or baby shampoo/wash. Let it soak a while, then the cardboard roll slips out easily. Pull from the middle. After using most of them, the sides will sort of cave it and at that point, I just pull them apart. Easy Peasy.

Lots of people also make housecleaning wipes. I did for a while, but found it just as easy to use a rag and spray bottle.
