Sorry to say, I have never heard of them.
Looking at some of them on the website, I really didn't care for them.

I love making Ricky Tims' convergence quilts! They look much more difficult to make than they actually are and the results are beautiful and unique. The instructions seem overwhelming at first, but once you get the hang of it, it all falls into place and your fabrics really come to life. Your quilts really have that "wow" factor. I hope you will feel encouraged to go ahead and try making a small convergence quilt just to get your feet wet.

good morning

I love the look of these quilts and would love to make one.
Where can I get the instructions for making one besides buying a book? We are on a limited budget in retirement and books are out of this world in price.
thanks for you help :D

Ricky Tims' book has so much more in it than just instructions. He gives valuable construction tips for a successful convergence quilt and provides the groundwork for inspiring your own creativity. If you have a JoAnn's nearby, you can use a 40% off coupon on Ricky's books or Amazon is a good source for steep discounts. I even saw one of his books at my public library! Of all the quilt books I have, Ricky Tims' Convergence Quilts is the most valuable and the most referenced of the lot.

Loretta, I just used one of my 50% coupons off a book on art quilts yesterday. Quilting books were on sale for 40% off yesterday, but for some reason this book was regular price so they let me use my coupon. Otherwise, if their books are not on special, they always allow me to use my 40% coupons. This seems to be the policy at all of the JoAnn's in my area. Aren't JoAnn's policies the same everywhere?

Ricky Tims Convergence quilts are fun to do and look quite impressive and "artsy". What's the worst that can happen if you do try one and goof up? Try with a few FQs first and make something small. Go for it - challenges are good.
