Rotary Cutting Tool sharpener
 

After watching the tutorial on this sharpener I got to wonder if any of my dear board member have tried it.

I have one, but didn't know to wet it. Will try this and see if it works better. Thanks for the tutorial.

I'm a real gadget junkie, but it's not something I would buy. I watched the ad, and thought....sandpaper? Nope.....:thumbdown: Hopefully someone who has tried it for a few months will give some feedback.

I enjoyed watching the video. The last time I purchased rotary blades at my LQS, the owner suggested that I should get a blade sharpener to save money. He said that they sharpen the blades they use in the store. After seeing how often I am changing blades, I think I will get a sharpener. I doubt if the blade sharpener he is selling is the one in the video; but I'm definitely buying a blade sharpener of some kind soon.

Joann's sells those. I bought one and it didn't seem to work. But in watching the video, I believe I was turning my blade back and forth, which she said not to do, and I didn't know about wetting the sandpaper. Might try it again, I know I have read where others have liked their sharpener.

Looked at the video and the water and going one direction makes total sense - that is the way one sharpens knives. But still most people have written off any attempt to sharpen the blades on the website, so not sure I would buy it.

I really like the Tru Sharp sharpener. Havent bought new blades in ages. Im really glad I never threw any away because mow Ive been sharpening them. Got mine from joann.com with a coupon. Also them on many other sites.

I don't think any of them sharpen to like new condition. You are better off to save your money use the web site that exchanges old for new plus a little money.

The electric True Cut sharpener will sharpen them to like new condition. I haven't bought any new blades for a long time either. I would not waste my money on any others that don't work and put it all towards this one. I also love their rulers and their ergonomic rotary cutter. Check them out, too while you are on their site.

I bought the True Cut and never did sharpen to new for me. In fact some turned out worse. Guess I must have done something wrong.
