Has anyone used a Simplicity Rotary Cutting Machine? I just bought one, thinking it would be great for strip quilts. Also bought extra blades that were on sale. You know how fast rotary blades get dull. Then I read the instructions. It does not cut by sharpness but by presure. The blades have a very dull edge. Do they really work or should I take it back?

I have one, looking to sell, but if you can take your's back do so. Haven't found it to be worth the money, so instead bought the Accuquilt Go! Now that's the machine to have for cutting.

My mom and I bought one along with the Bias Tape Maker last year when they were on sale Buy one, get one free. If you can return the cutter I would return it. We were not happy at all and no matter how many different things we tried we never could get a straight cut.

However, the Bias Tape Maker has worked out much better. We bought the 2.5" attachment and use it to make quilt binding. It saves a lot of time because you don't have to fold it over and press by hand. No more burnt fingers! It isn't perfect, but it works well.

I just don't think the cutter is worth the money, though.

I absolutely hate it! Doesn't cut straight, doesn't cut all the way through--worthless for me. I threw mine in a corner never to look at again! I got a GO also!

Mine is worthless, also. I could not get it to work right, neither could my dh and he can do Anything with a machine. I also bought the binding maker and it is AWESOME! I absolutely Love it! Now I can make binding quickly that matches the fabric in my quilts! And I don't have to buy that premade, ugly stuff.

Don't buy rotary machine. Do buy binder maker. My 2 cents.

What are the imperfections with the bias tape maker?

I have the Accuquilt Go and love it but the Bias Maker sounds interesting. I'm going to check that out.

I also bought one of the rotary cutters and do not like it at all. I do, however, love my Accucut Go. It does a really good job.

my friend bought one and hated it for all the above reasons, she was kind enough to tell us at quilting.
