Ladies -- I made out GOOD today!!! Went to a quilt store close-out...just happened to see it in the paper. Friends were visiting here from out of town and they love to quilt. I bought:

16.5 yrds of fabric at $2.00 a YARD!
15 fat quarters at $.50 a qtr!
2 kits at $10.00 each...each kit has 4 yards of fabric. - both are identical....oh wow - a quilt waiting to happen!
notions -- about $12.00 worth for 70% off
2 books -- 70% off

Total -- around $73.00!!! I'm sorry she's closing the shop BUT I'm SOOO happy!!! It's like Christmas all over again!

Forgive me!!! I was so exhausted from a day of siteseeing and shopping AND cooking TWO meals (!!!!) that I was too tired to even take pics!!! (too bad we can't edit after 20 minutes!) Here's my prizes!!! Oh, since I usually make totes and wall hangings, the yardage amounts are perfect for me.

One of our LQSs has an inventory sale twice a year - everything is 50% off at the time, one day only. So we get together, car pool 40 miles and shop for the day, have lunch and spend $. What great fun, I know you had to have had a lot of fun at your store. Too bad they are going out of business tho.

Wow....I am drooling! I love your fabric choices especially the oriental fabrics. My youngest DD, the one in grad school in New Zealand, is especially found of things oriental. I am planning to present her with a quilt for her graduation in July of 2011. Should be able to complete it by then if I start by the end of this year. :-)
