But it doesnt have a pattern or tutorial, that I can see... I know its strips of fabric but I wound need to figure out yardage, how its stitched together, etc to make it, I love this one....does anyone know of a pattern for this or a tutorial?

Basically that's the same quilt. Her's is just a baby quilt about 36x42? Some of the pictures are the front and some are the back.
It's random width fabric strips.

You would still have to enlarge it to the size you want. It' going to take a lot of fabric to make a queen.

It looks basically like it's just strips sewn together. What size do you want to make? If you want to make a baby quilt you could use strips the width of the fabric, size of the strip cut to accentuate the design of the fabric. By the time you cut the selvedges off it would be about 42" wide. You could use as many different fabrics as you wanted to make your length, alternating the fabrics. I would label them #1 through however many fabrics that you use and sew the rows together in that order or you could reverse out in either direction from a center strip. I hope that made sense. This type of quilt is kinda like a designer's choice.

No its for a queen quilt, some of the materials I would need to cut by the width due to the design, if I were to cut the width and sew them together (the same pattern) to reach the length I need to cover the length of the queen size would it look bad- would seams be visable?

If you watch the patterns when you cut the fabric and match the patterns on the seams it would be OK. I made a valance for my family room and had to watch the pattern when I did the seams and no-one notices the joint. I will try to take a quick picture and attach it. Give me a moment and I'll try.

If you're careful matching the pattern, the seams will get lost in the quilting process. The pics I posted were done on a valance and, obviously, there was no quilting which would hide those seams. I reflected the light so the seams would be obvious for the picture. I think if you're careful you won't have any problems and, hey, in a queen size quilt, if you stagger the seams, all the more power to the knit-picker looking for any flaws. I think you are starting to over think this quilt and drive yourself crazy. Take a deep breath and decide how you are going to do this. You seem attracted to the random width stripes and that should not be too hard to do. One of the patterns you've shown was tied instead of quilted. That should be easy enough to do, too.

If you can cut a straight line and sew a straight seem, you can get this done. Unless your sister is a member of the quilt police, it will all work out fine in the end.

Take it easy and try to have some fun with this. :)

Aww thanks, I needed that! I am a perfectionist but as I have leared with rag quilting and making childrens clothing its impossible to make it perfect, and I know she will love it, Im just torn between the stripes and the pattern I have - I will attach it so you can see it. I also shared some of the instructions on that pattern with an angel quilter on the board and she said it seemed easy - I guess Im torn now if it would be better for the first time to try the pattern, or just go with the stripes, Ill attach the two -
