I am thinking about getting a serger> I am leaning towards the brother 1034D, as that is what I can afford...anyone have one? Do you like it? Thanks...

i have a singer and i use it ALL the time ( 4 threads).....made a lot of t-shirts and sweatshirts...I always serge my fabric before sewing anything or before hemming ....and i serge my cotton before washing.....i love it!!!

I'm looking at that same model as well and from what I've read in many of the reviews, it's an excellent serger for a begginer and a person who is on a budget. I've seen it on sale at Amazon for 219.00, it aslo comes with an instructional dvd
