This is from the Singer site:
'A large 4½” x 6¾” hoop and a smaller 3⅛” x 4¾” hoop included
with the machine.'

I bough an extra set of hoops for my Futura that way I can get one going while trimming the one I just took off.

It has saved me a lot of time when I'm doing a bunch of emb for quilt blocks

Like the blocks on my Mock Irish Chain

Why I didn't buy a Singer embroidery machine... You have to have your PC on with the software open to start the embroidery machine software (after that turn on it doesn't matter if it stays on).

But that means if your home is prone to PC trouble (i.e. my house) you could have the computer out and the embroidery machine out at the same time! ACK! EkK!

If I can ever afford one, I 'd want one with the usb port. the reason being that my sewing machine and computer will be in 2 different parts of the house and 2 different floors! I have just about decided if I win the lottery or some anonymous person leaves me a wad of money to get a Pfaff (2nd hand). It can embroider as well as do all kinds of other neat things and it is a nice as a Bernina and not near as expensive!

Thank you for posting ...I don't own an embroidery machine and I am learning as much as possible from here before I actually buy one...
You can never learn enough.....and I believe you should also have a bit of luck....Thanks again :D

I work part time for Husqvarna Viking and I have 2 embroidery machines. One is a Designer SE and the other is a Designer Diamond. They are both excellent machines and the quality of embroidery stitch out far surpasses the Singer Futura. The Diamond has the largest hoop size in the industry and the largest clutter free computer screen as well. They are pricey top of the line machines. The SE retails for approximately 5000.00 and the Diamond retails for 9000.00. Viking offers 48 months of interest free financing for the diamond and 24 months (I believe) for the SE. WHile these machines may be more than what many people are looking for Viking is coming out with a less costly but just as dependable and high quality embroidery machine very soon. You might want to check out their website, husqvarnaviking.com to check out the different sewing machines available!
