I don't know what's going on with my machine here... I was just finishing up my quilting ( like, I seriously have 15 seconds left, or something) and my sewing machine started to slow down and then it just stopped all together. Even the wheel on the side to manually control the needle is suuuuuuuuupppper stiff! What the heck is going on? There isn't anything stuck, no dust and crap in the moving parts, they look well oiled. I don't know why all of a sudden it would just stop?
It made a bit of a banging sound too, while it was slowing down, but it's not the first time that's happened so I didn't think anything of it, it's just an old machine... PLEASE tell me my machine is not dead!!! |
Sounds like a bent needle or a jan in the bobbin case? Just a thought. Unthread the whole thing and try again. Sometimes my old machine does that.

Check the belt....
Check the bobbin is threaded correctly... Check for TO much oil... Pray a lot!! Hope it starts running again after a brief rest. Maybe it wanted a short nap? Hugs, Sharon |
Mine did that and the clutch was slipped to wind the bobbin and not sew. I hope it is a simple fix for you.
