I have a pack o f minkee charms and I wanted to put them with flannel and make a baby quilt. Do they need anything on them befroe i sew them into my blocks.?

i just read a post that Loretta posted the link to that said the stuff ravels really badly. This lady fused her fabric to a lightweight stabilizer and it kept things from raveling as well as slipping.

I draw my cutting lines on the back, fuse a 1/2" wide light weight interfacing over the line then cut. When you are ready to sew, pin from the inside out instead of the outside in to stabilize it further. Then sew using a little more than your regular 1/4".

I pin the *$## out of it! LOL! It is slippery but oh-so-very worth it!

Post a photo when you are done.

I used a walking foot to sew mine. Seemed to help.

I agree with the heavy pinning comment...I washed the basting spray out of my project I shelved a while ago because it was making me crazy...tons of pins later, it was just fine. Lorettas advice is great, too...I've not worked with small pieces yet but I love the minkee!!
