sewing oil cloth question

Just bought 4 yrds of heavy duty oil cloth from Nancy's Notions for $6.99 per yard. Great varierty of colors.

Questiion: Do I need special type of needle to sew it?

Sharp, not universal. I usually use a size 14.

Wouldn't you need a telfon foot to sew over the oilcloth? I always use one and of course a very sharp needle.

Yes, or a roller foot. Or just a piece of tissue paper, if you can't find your roller foot. *whistles innocently*
