General sewing question: I was using the serger stitch on my machine to finish the edge on a pair of stretchy pants my daughter dances in, and the material was scrunching up and causing major problems. Do I need a stabilizer when trying to sew with this 'leotard" type material? Something so quick and simple turned into complete frustration.

Suggestions or hints would be helpful.

You want to use ball point needles for this!

Click on "Back to home page". Choose which category your question falls in. Click on that category and then at the top you should see "New Topic".

I used to make leotards for gymnasts and as suggested it could be your needle or tension.
