Has anyone made twin bed sheets with sports materials? My grandson is a Dallas Cowboy fan and I have material - but never did a "sheet". any suggestions? Thanks.

Why not?
I have a friend who made crib sheets for her soon-to-be DGS!

I have made a lot of crib sheets the fitted ones and they are easy.

Do you use regular cotton material? Hate to use my pricy quilt material for the whole sheet!!!!!

Sometimes its actually cheaper to buy the sheets, than purchase the yardage required.
You could purchase a set and just add the decorative boarder to the top sheet, and do the same to the pillow cases.

Do you mean like a summer quilt? Top and backing, but no batting?

I made plenty of pack-n-play and crib/toddler bed size sheets, because they were actually cheaper than buying, depending on your fabric choice. You don't need wide fabric - even the crib size can be made with 45-inch wide fabric. However, I've never made sheets for twin beds, because I'd either have to find wide fabric (maybe more $$) or piece extra width on - either way, it'd be more $$ and no longer worth it to me. But if it's a special fabric that your GS would really love, then it shouldn't be difficult.

i buy 108"-120" wide batiks and make sheets often- just hem the edges after deciding and cutting the size. all there is to it. i also make pillow cases for all of my quilts

Thanks for all suggestions; will try finding wide material and also doing decorative borders on twin xl sheets!

I enjoy doing the pillow cases!!! and plan to do some for children/cancer patients!

Have a great day!
