Heads up ladies! I was at our local wm the other night and they had a basket up front with single sheets in it marked down to really low prices...then 50% off at checkout! I got a twin for $1 and a full for 2.50! Wish I could've gotten more!

Great find! I'll make a point of looking at our WM today. Thanks for the tip.

Guess I had better check mine out today. I need some cheap fabric to practice on. I am suppose to take delivery of my new "baby" tomorrow. Nothing can beat 1$ sheets. Okay, I'm getting dressed and hopping off to Wally World!!!

Now I'm mad!!! My store had NONE of any size shape or description. There is an Ollie's outlet about 15 miles from me, I will have to hit that. Couldn't do it today because of the prom dress needing hemming. Tomorrow is vet day and the new "baby" is supposed to arrive. I am so excited for that. I need to find someone to help me assemble it that won't blab to the family.

From a textile book:

.....Many fabric companies in the quilt market use cotton that is 60 by 60 or 68 by 68, meaning that many threads per inch going both ways crosswise and lengthwise. P&B often chooses cotton that measures 75 by 75. A bed sheet is much stiffer and wouldn't be very easy to sew through, even using a sewing machine (it is murder to hand sew).....

So just know you will may have problems with machine quilting and the LA may also.
