Shout out from a newbie!

I just received my first ever online fabric order. I am loving this. I was nervous about ordering fabric online, never know about colors, etc. I am so happy with my first order. I am sure it will not be my last. I know nothing about the place, not sure where I found the shop, but feel sure it started from here to another site, which leads to another ... you know. So I feel I should say thanks and tell you that the Fort Worth Fabric Studio rocks! The shipping was very fast the I can not wait to make something new. If you have not ordered from them take a look at their website. I have no affiliation at all, just thought it would be nice to share my good experience since y'all share so much good information. I would love to hear from others on where they love to shop and love the service. I need to make me a list of shopping site to visit when I need a fabric fix.

Hi and welcome from Texas! I have ordered a lot from connectingthreads.com, I love everything I have ever bought, and their prices are amazing! The first time I ordered from them I was actually skeptical...as the prices seemed to good to be true..well, I am so glad I did order from them! Their fabrics are also top quality, so that is not the reason the prices are so reasonable...I am guessing it is just the way they can produce in bulk, and that a lot of people order from them, also any order over $50.00 ships free (this can be good or bad, as it encourages me to order at least that amount for the free shipping...lol). I also have a shop on ebay that I order fabrics from, the main thing I really love from her is she has wide backings (like 96" to 108"+) for amazing prices...again it is quilt shop quality, and I have never been disappointed by the quality or service I receive...here is a link to her store:

Take care,
Kif

I have ordered a few times from http://www.fortworthfabricstudio.com/. I had pre ordered 2 quilt kits from them last May and received the kits right away in July when they were released. I didn't open them until December and found that I was short on length of 1 of the fabrics in both kits. I contacted them and they went above and beyond getting me the fabric I needed, even though they no longer had any. Their customer service is fantastic!!!

I have ordered from Fabric.com, Homespun Hearth, eQuilter, MSQco., and QIAD and have had good results with all of them.

glad you tried it. I order almost everything online now. I've never had a bad experience yet. :)

Could I suggest Fab Shop Hop: that is were you go through a list of quilt shops looking for the " bunny" and a new shop hop goes on every month. What a way to visit on line quilt shops, it will keep you busy as there are usually around 160 or so shops to visit each month.

Welcome to the board from the beautiful Delaware River in PA. Glad your fabric was 5 star. Another great place to find good fabric is Connecting Threads.com, Fabric is MADE IN AMERICA. !
