I finally am getting aroud to cutting some of the flanel I've accumulated for baby burp pads. 1/3 yard has always been enough for 2 front, 2/3 for 4 and yard would give me 6.. The newest flannels from JoAnn's don't work. Most of them are now 41 inches wide with a printed selvage of an inch or more. In future I'll have my tape measure out checking how much is usable before buying. Problem seems to mosstly with their snuggle flannels and I don't need an inch printed selvage telling me that a pindot print is made exclusively for JoAnn's.

Do tell them so.

Just out of curiosity, because I don't shop there, how much per yard is it? What is the price range of their fabrics in general? I have no clue, so that is why I'm asking.

They recently raised price of thier flanel to regular price of $6.99. Quilting cottons, novety prints and such range from $5.99 up with alot going for $9.99.

I've noticed that too. The salvages are really wide on some of the fabrics.

I was in JoAnn today and the Snuggle flannel was on sale for $2.99. I remember a while back where that was the reg. price or maybe $3.49 and I got a bunch on sale for $1.25 a yard.

Their sales flyer is on-line, and they also sell fabric on-line. You can research prices there.

I wouldn't worry about the measurement on the bolt so much as the measurement after washing. That's the shrinkage that concerns me.
