Has anyone here ever used strips cut from silicon baking sheets to line the bottom of a quilted bag? A removeable cardboard strip was not practical for me. These sheets claim to be good for up to 450 degrees heat (F) and the test patch I made survived both the washer and dryer.

A sheet of plastic canvas would be a less expensive option. There is also template plastic - that should wash and dry well, too.

That is a lovely quilt. Thank you.

I used the heavy guage plastic mesh for my bag. Same thing that is used for plastic needlepoint. It gave my bag just the right amount of shape & stability. Easy to cut. Cheap to buy.

Cut the flaps off of boxes. They are a perfect fit and are free. They hold up very well and do not bend like the silicone or plastic ones. Thank you. GiGi
