Hi again... I need help with single fold binding... I have never used it how do u machine attach it to a quilt??? are there any videos for it??? my main concern it how do you manage the corners I know that with the double folded binding how you make the 45 degree corner and how to fold it but??????? the single fold????

I wouldn't use single fold binding . It might wear out faster. I prefer to double fold my binding; for the extra strenghth.

You would apply it the same way as double fold. Fold over a seam allowance before applying. This will be the edge that you fold to the other side (usually the back) of the quilt. If it is prefolded, unfold to apply and stitch in the fold to apply.

single fold is done the same as the double. like dungeonquilter said you do need to make sure that you fold the other sides 1/4" in so that it will lay just right and have the right amount of batting in the binding and not get messed up. I have done a single fold and it worked just fine.

if you google : single fold bias tape

you can find several tutorials for how to apply it.

There seem to be two main ways of putting it on - one is with only one stitching - and the other is sewing it twice.

Have always used double fold ,like the solidity and strength it gives also mitred corners but was told to do a single binding of 1 3/4 inch but with straight corners, didn't like it except that it seemed neater except corners ,won't repeat it..

Check Pat Sloan's blog. She has a very good tutorial on single binding with clear pictures how to do it. Also the mitered corners. I use this method a lot now as I'm making a lot of pot holders for Xmas presents. Quick and easy!

I'm curious-is there a specific reason pot holders need to have single binding? I would think they'd last longer with double.
