Size of Mug Rugs?
 

I made some mug rugs for a friend this weekend and wasn't sure what size to make them, so I just made what worked with the fabric scraps I had. What size do you usually make them?

Anything goes!
Exactly the same as you ... scrap dependent!
... Or according to the orphan block I'm using.
...... And then whatever size it grows to as I work with it! :)

That being said, of the ones I use, 6"x8" seems to be adequate for my personal use!

I never make mine larger than 8 x 6 - about half a piece of paper. Bigger than that it takes up too much room on my desk and looks like a shrunken placemat.

I make mine the size of a large postcard but I have not made many.

I usually make them 6x8".

I make my 6 x 8 also but I make my coasters 5 inches square

I maded a larger one 11" x 8" and I ended up putting my camera and usb sticks on it on my desk. I like the 11" x 8" size. In the mug rug swap that just finished the dimensions were supposed to be at least 9" x 7".

When I think Mug Rug I think for a coffee mug size so mine are between 4 X 4 or 5inches sq. Otherwise it would take up too much room on my desk.

Same here, I just use scraps. I make them in all different sizes, never any one specific size. I just think sort of an over sized coaster. :)
