Just read somewhere today to put a small dot of clear nail polish on the back of your ruler in each corner and the middle of each side. While still wet, sprinkle it with table salt.

That sounds like a great tip! I'm new to quilting and having been buying the non-slip rulers. So far, so good. But I'll remember your tip for future reference. Thanks!

I have had good luck using the little round sandpaper disks. Seems to help a lot with walking rulers.

I use the sandpaper dots also.

Keep a pinkie finger off the edge of the ruler to help stabilize it and you'll know if it moves.

I just purchased sand paper dots. I have yet to try them

I used to use Invisigrip but as my hands are getting worse I switched to the sandpaper dots. Remember not to put them on symmetrically. If you do then you won't be able to see some measurements you will then find you want to use ... a lot. Keep clear of the angle lines intersection points on the ruler too.
