I am doing this quilt for a customer. Any ideas as to how to quilt this block? I am capable of anything, but creativity right now. Thanks, Michelle

Pretty block..I am not good when it comes to quilting ideas. Will there be sashing or do the blocks sit size by side so there is a big open space on the light material? I love any thing feathery..just not real heavy quilting!

Yes, there is a double row sashing that I have done in an intricate diamond pattern. I love the effect. It is the basic blocks that are causing me trouble. It needs to be heavily quilted and of heirloom quality. The quilt is for one of the NYC Met. opera costume designers so the pressure is on.

My first thought was leaves. Like one oak leaf in each quarter of that block, starting in the middle. There's a site called "Free Motion Quilting Project" that has hundreds of patterns. You might find something there that strikes you.
