So Many (Unbound) Quilts . . . So Little Time
 

I got a Baby Lock Crown Jewel earlier this year and I’m longarm quilting like crazy. I love it!

The problem is my quilts are stacking up because I don’t have time to bind them. I was told years ago that there is a method for binding where you use the blind hem stitch on your sewing machine to finish it.

Anybody know of any blogs, links, or youtube videos with information on binding a quilt by completely machine?

I can't help you too much on this one. But, the older generation used to do what they call hemming. And that is bring the back over to the front and stitch it down with the machine.

If you want to have a double binding, you can stitch first to the quilt back, then fold to the front and stitch down. A lot of people do this, especially for quilts that will get hard use. Hope it helps.

Charismah did a tutorial on the old board under Quick Machine Binding With Flange. If you go to the tutorial section and type the title into the advanced search box, you may be able to find it? It does an awesome completely machine binding that you sew to the back and machine sew to the front. It makes a nice flange or piping and it is the only one that I use.
