There have been requests/questions from some of our new quilters on what blocks are easy, which ones should they start out making, and other similar questions.
One of our members put together a set of tutorials just for new quilters. She has put it together into several sections, and they tie in together very nicely. Shelly shows how the blocks are made, short cuts, how they can be put together, along with some other very helpful ideas and tips, too. Check them out, along with the other tutorials here on the board. There is a wealth of information there :D:D:D Part One http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-6460-1.htm Part Two http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-7358-1.htm Part Three http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-8342-1.htm Part Four http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-9327-1.htm |

This is really gonna help me with my granddaughter when she starts learning quilting.
She has been exposed to it, of course, but soon she will be ready to get on the sewing machine by herself and these pictures, etc. are going to be an awesome helper for me. Thank you Shelley! :D Thank you amma for letting it be known the tute is there! :D |
We were just talking about these classes in chat tonight... they are excellent for beginners and maybe new things in them too for more experienced quilters :D:D:D

amma,
Thanks for sending me the links. I will read the tutorials tonight when the house is quiet and everyone else is asleep. Joni |
