I am in the process of making my first bow tuck and it has gone really well up until step 12. I can't figure out the deal with the template! It states, " cut out the template pattern and place it in the bottom corner aligned with the outside corner edge of the bag and trace onto the fusible with a marker.
I am a little confused....does this mean I use the template to mark the fusible parts only and do nothings else? Or does it mean there is something to add here. What is the marking on the fusible fabric for? Thanks to anyone who can set me straight on what to do. I do not like feeling so stumped and I am sure it is a simple thing that I may be making a mountain of. Mary M

I can't remember, but I believe the template is for you to cut out, so when you box the bottom it cuts down on the bulk.

I used the 2 1/2 inch template and marked the bottom corners of the purse and lining. You will mark it 8 times. Then in step 13 sew on the sew line then cut away the excess. This process makes the bottom of the purse squared off and flat. PM me if you need more help. I have made 9 of these. They are so fun. Enjoy

I haven't made these, but there are plenty who have, and I sure one will be along soon to help. I really like you avatar, Mary M. She's cute!

Thank you, now I understand it is just marking to sew and form the bottom!!! Stayed up too late last night and brain a littl fuzzy. Guess I should go take a nap but I really want to see my end product with this tote. Thanks again, Mary M
