One of the posts was speaking of pins in the carpet; I found my solution to this in the Sears tool dep't.
I bought stainless steel small parts bowls that have a very strong magnet in the bottom. The bottom is also rubberized so it doesn't slip.
I use these on my cutting tables, however, I would not suggest using them up next to your computerized equipment. Magnets can cause damage to computerized machines.

Hi Joyce, I work at the local Pfaff dealer and we have grey carpet in our store. Unfortunately it hides pins really well. To solve the problem we use pins with colored heads because they are easier to find. We wouldn't want anyone to be hurt accidentally by stepping on a pin!

My pup, Jezebel, was limping and licking her foot several months ago. This went on for nearly 12 hours but I just couldn't find anything wrong with it but she was clearly hurting. I finally found a pin between her pads that was all the way in. I still cringe when I think of it. Poor baby!
