For you hand quilters, have you ever used the Spoon Quilting tool, if so do you like it or not?

I've used spoons, TJs quick quilter, and a "thimble" with a ridge for the underside. I need one of these to make a ridge, dunno how to quilt without it!

I've never used it because I need to feel the needle unterneath my quilt.

I'm a feeler also when I handquilt. But know some who do like the spoon.

I used it for awhile but I really like my leather thimbles. I like to feel underneath too.

Grace, it's metal, about 3 inches long (I think) almost like a paddle, but one side has a circle of indentations for the needle.
If I could find mine I'd take a pic but that would take years lol
