I want to attempt spray basting a table runner, but I just read on this board that the spray basting doesn't work on a polyester batting? Should I forget the polyester batting and purchase a cotton batting? TIA

Isnt Quilter's Dream poly? If it is I use basting spray all the time but I spray the fabric.

I have used it on poly batting and it seems to work fine for me.

I spray the backing, the back and front of the batting and it works for me :D:D:D

I have used cotton and poly batting when spray basting and they both worked fine.

Some people have no problems spray basting polyester batting; others do. I think the difference may be in the brand of spray. Haven't seen anyone mention 505 not working on polyester.
You could do a test sandwich to see how it works for you before trying it on an entire quilt. |
