Elaine....I went to my local library and the librarian was able to locate the book and get it in for me....maybe you can try that.... here is info on the book
http://www.amazon.com/Stack-n-Whackier-Quilts-Another-Magic-Stack-n-Whack/dp/1574327763 Amazon.com: Stack-n-Whackier Quilts (Another Magic Stack-n-Whack(tm) Book): Books: Bethany S. Reynolds |
The stack-n-whack method is copyrighted, so the library is a good idea, unless you can find someone close to guide you. Here is where a guild is good. Who is the cutie in your avatar?

Oh, Ok I didn't know that . The pic is my 19 month old grandson, Devon. I made his "Clifford , the red dog" outfit. He is such a show off. Loves to get attention.

Hi, Elaine
The first step is to decide how many parts you want. There was a picture posted here using 4 repeats. I have done 2 quilts using 6 repeats, and have seen several using 8 repeats. You will need to purchase enough fabric to have the desired number of repeats. I learned from the show Simply Quilts, when the author was on her show. Debra |
Devon is adorable....my granddaughter loves Clifford too!! That and Dragon Tales are her two favorites!

Thank you . From the instructions I saw online , it looked like you cut a set of squares into triangles? Then take one pile from that and open it around? I'm not trying to break any copyright laws here. I just don't want to cut up a bunch of nice fabric and ruin it. Although it could always be turned into another quilt. I'm not as gutsy as some of yous.
Thanks Elaine |
You doing it isn't the problem. It is us giving you detailed directions that IS the problem. You do what you get the urge to do. Sounds good to me.
