Picture is not showing up... will have to try again.. could only get the links. sorry. total operator error on my part!

I saw this quilt on a blog but didn't keep track of which blog it was :( It was one of those rainy days and I just kept clicking and clicking on links. Not sure how I got there and tried like heck to get back there by retracing my steps but could not. I want to give the quilter credit, but don't know who it is. My apologies.

Anyway, I love this quilt idea and would love to do it, but I don't have enough variety in my fabrics and I am just starting out so I don't have much in my stash yet. Is anyone else interested in doing some kind of swap for this quilt idea? I would be happy to organize it. In my head I'm thinking, if there is interest, people could mail me some "noun" fabrics (people, places, things !) and I could divide it all up and mail it back. That way people could get a variety of fabrics that they maybe don't have.

Anyone else up for something like this???? If so, let me know :)

I don't mean to be word??, but I don't understand. is this fabric ink being stamped w/memory "scrapbooking" stamps? I'm confused ,To much brean involvement.

I see it as a grown-up version of an I-Spy quilt.

And instead of piecing the squares into a quilt, they're just stitched down (you can see the thread in the pictures) according to however the quilter could make them fit. I guess the name comes from the fact that they do sort of look like stamp collection sheets.

Anyway, cool concept.

@Elisabeth
You might check over in the Swaps section of this board. Maybe there is an I-Spy swap going on already. At least you can get a sense of how they're run here (and that would be the forum to "adverise" a new one). Check the rules first - there's is a sticky post at the top.

I don't think this board allows <img > links, so as it's just going to show up as a link anyway and not as an image, you might as well just post this:

No stamping. All the images are cut out of fabric and then each one is stitched down. A lot of work, but it looks really cool!

You are right - all the images are fabric and each one is stitched down. Thanks for the info on the swap forum. I'll check over there.

Thanks everyone for your help. I am kinda new to this board, (obviously!) and didn't know about the swap forum or the rules for them. Makes sense though! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
